Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Connecticut. I obtained my masters in clinical Mental Health Counseling from St John's University. I have been working in the field for about 4 years at this time. Currently I work alongside a team in community mental health. I now want to take what I have learned and apply it to a larger crowd. I work to help clients with anxiety, depression and life stress.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session both parties shall give introductions stating expectations of what they wish they hope to obtain from the sessions. Client can they explain their presenting problem if able or I can ask some questions. Once enough information is gathered we will work together to establish a mutually agreed upon plan that will follow client throughout their time with me.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a therapist is to empower my clients. As stated before this a hallmark for person centered therapy. I do this by listening to clients. When people feel listened to, they believe they can do what is required to make appropriate changes. Secondly I do this by unconditional positive regard. This means keeping focus on your strengths and your stories. This also means giving client's constructive feedback if they are not operating to their strengths. We will create an environment and therapeutic relationship where you will thrive.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The Person Centered Approach is what I have been using ever since I started. I fundamentally belief every client of mine has the ability to reach their goals within themselves. Using a person centered approach allows clients to feel understood via an unconditional positive regard. Once our therapeutic relationship has grown we can work to address whatever is troubling you such as anxiety and depression. We shall find solutions that leave you feeling empowered.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an important tool. In my personal experience, it is not often that we can change everything whenever we have conflict in this world . What I have found we can do is empower ourselves in order to deal with it. CBT utilizes a knowledge of one's thoughts, feelings and behaviors and how they interact. with that relation in mind we can use it as a tool to maintain coping and lower levels of stress.
