It may be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. We can work together to find a solution to getting you to feel better!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I will take the time to hear you out and see what the problem is, and we will develop a plan of action to start to attack that problem. It is normal to be nervous at first, I get it. Even though I have been doing this for over 20 years, even I may get a little nervous at times. It is normal, as it is not always easy to open up to someone you just met. My goal is to make you comfortable and feel that we are having a conversation that will give you peace of mind and derive at finding a solution!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am empathetic, motivated, creative and think outside of the box. I strive to work with you and see you achieve. I am responsive and willing to do what it takes to get you feeling better. We are a team and it is important to establish a therapeutic alliance.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy is a form of psychotherapy, as well as a branch of clinical behavior analysis. It is an empirically based psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies along with commitment and behavior-change strategies to increase psychological flexibility.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psycho-social intervention that aims to reduce symptoms of various mental health conditions, primarily depression and anxiety disorders. Cognitive behavioral therapy is one of the most effective means of treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Couples Counseling

To be able to assist couples in being able to get back to where they were when they fell in love. Also, it is good for general touch up of relationships which will just need a tuneup.

Compassion Focused

Compassion-focused therapy is a system of psychotherapy developed by Paul Gilbert that integrates techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy with concepts from evolutionary psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, Buddhist psychology, and neuroscience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy that began with efforts to treat personality disorders and interpersonal conflicts. Evidence suggests that DBT can be useful in treating mood disorders and suicidal ideation as well as for changing behavioral patterns such as self-harm and substance use. Wikipedia
