I'm so happy that you reached out for help. I am Paul Teska, a licensed professional counselor- therapist. You can read more about my background, education, experience, and therapy approach by clicking on my name on this page. Remember, I am here for you. Throughout my career, I have probably worked with every single situation in the counseling field. I have worked inpatient, outpatient, and telepatient. I have worked in prisons, jails, psychiatric hospitals, IDD facilities, community MHMR, and community counseling centers. My specialties include drug and alcohol addiction, trauma, major depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, stress, marital problems, anger management, and people with LGBTQ issues. My two current licenses are license professional counselor and licensed chemical dependency counselor. I previously held a state license of certified criminal justice professional, and I almost have two other licenses of behavior analyst and licensed psychologist. I take great pride that I have never had a single diagnose overturned on the basis of symptoms of the DSM-5. I have worked with clients all over the client of every age, faith orientation, ethnicity, and English as a second language in over 50 countries and almost every single US state and territory. I truly believe that clients get out of treatment what they put into it. When a client wants to get better, I just have to point them in the correct direction. I truly believe that every client can get better if he or she wants to get better. Paul Teska, LPC + LCDC

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, we will focus on the client's life history. It helps me to see the problem through your eyes.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I believe in starting out each session with a person-centered perspective, and then once I have learned about your problems and how you see the world, we will go to cognitive, behavioral, analytical, existential, solution focused, acceptance commitment, and dialectic. I pick the tool based on the person, the problem, and your viewpoint of the world. We all see the world differently, so the proper tool has to fit the person and the problem.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are that I have worked with all types of people in all different types of situations. I have worked inpatient, outpatient, community center, and telehealth. *************************************************************************************************** To easily schedule a session +1 (786) 755-1863 or email at reception+Paul18426@growtherapy.com ****************************************************************************
