Hello, I am Lisa-Marie! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience providing whole person therapy to clients in need. I earned my Bachelors in Social Science from Aquinas College and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Nebraska. I've worked in many different clinical and medical settings ever since. I have experience leading clients through of issues including trauma, life transitions, grief, women's issues, sexuality, depression, general anxiety and somatic challenges. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I practice an eclectic approach, bringing a variety of therapeutic techniques to address the needs of the individual, but always assess where one in the process of addressing change. I am fully committed to listen and offer my best professional practices to help you. You can count on my empathetic and person-centered approach towards every conversation we take part on. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The work of therapy is a partnership in which the therapist and client collaborate on goals and how to reach them. Initially sessions involve building trust and insight. Each session will work with those goals. We will review, discuss and change or add as needed and evaluate their effectiveness.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
As a long term therapist, I have been trained in a variety of modalities. I have access to tools and media for these different modalities including CBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, client centered therapy, grief, anger management, stress management, positive psychology, somatic therapy and coaching.
