Hola! Hello! I am a native of Los Angeles, California. I am currently in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. I am a bilingual therapist that speaks Spanish. I graduated from the UWG in 2020. I am a licensed therapist (LPC) in GA. I work with clients of all ages and cultures, and provide individualized treatment to meet their needs. I help individuals cope with current stress and past trauma. I help people that are struggling with change, whether its traumatic and in the past, or stressful and occurring now. I see individuals virtually and provide convenient hours that do not affect the traditional 9am-5pm work week, or weekly duties. Let me help you get to where you want to be.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will meet you where you are at. It's OK to not be OK, but you do not have to go through this alone. We will work through your issues collaboratively, whether there is trauma, cultural stress, major changes, work/school related stress, relationships issues, identity issues, or family change. I treat holistically, helping individuals while taking their medical, cultural, environmental, backgrounds into account when treating their mental health. The treatment I provide is tailored to you and your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I take everyone's complete culture into account. I wear my culture lens very confidently. This does not mean that I know about all the cultures that exist, this means that I am always open to learning about cultures, even those I am not familiar with in order to fully understand you as a whole person. My understanding that everyone is as unique as their fingerprints on their fingers, helps me to ensure that I give individualized treatment. I meet people where they are at and provide a safe and non-judgmental space.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I practice Client Centered therapy. This allows us to work on rapport and trust, I provide an empathetic space for you to feel safe, making it easier to share the past/present stress/trauma. You are asked to be your unapologetic self in session, because you are with someone that will listen without judgment. You are the driver, I am a passenger seat guide.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I practice using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help you work through distorted thoughts or beliefs either given to you, or that were created during a stressful or traumatic time in your life. I help you understand the connection between thoughts, behaviors, and mood. I teach ways to help one find evidence for negative thoughts or beliefs, and incorporate ways to decrease them with things such as reframing

Family Therapy

The family is like a machine, and when a part breaks or is replaced, it can affect the whole machine. Relationships, stressful events, deaths, sickness, stress, cultural differences, and roles within the family system are all explored and processed. Generational patterns and beliefs are processed. The client is taught to see their individuality and role with their family and the way it affects them.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Learning to be mindful can help combat ongoing stress and decrease negative thinking and behaviors. It helps treat trauma and teaches ways to be self-aware. Becoming mindful gives the client power to themselves and their bodies, learning to changes thoughts, behaviors, and moods, that occur as an unhealthy response.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is necessary with all clients. Part of healing and recovery is learning about your diagnoses, symptoms, and options. Psychoeducation can be for the client directly, or can be given to the clients so they can teach their support systems. Psychoeducation can be used to help instill ways to cope.
