"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." - Carl Jung. Hi, I am Stephanie! I am a licensed psychotherapist in both Hawaii and Texas and Board Certified in QEEG Neurofeedback. Building a warm, supportive, and nurturing environment is crucial to helping clients achieve their therapeutic goals and ultimately live happier, more conscious lives. My naturally curious, non-judgmental, and caring personality helps clients to explore deep-seated emotions, have greater insight, and start to see real-life changes in the way they live, love, parent, and work. We are social beings searching for connection and meaning. Life's challenges can block us from true happiness and authenticity, jeopardizing our values, relationships, and sense of Self. I work to empower my clients through an authentic, humanistic, strengths-based perspective. I specialize in intergenerational trauma, addictions, parenting coaching, assertiveness training, couples, and family therapy. I see life as a journey of learning, where connection is key, and there is no time to waste giving away time and energy to the things that get in the way of serving our highest good. I invite you to connect and begin your healing journey today. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with introductions then share what challenges you are facing that brought you to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is my ability to connect with my clients and provide them a safe, nonjudgmental, and respectful environment to work through their issues. I am direct, yet I allow my clients to set the pace of therapy.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will control and direct your life.” -Carl Jung Dr. Jung’s insight encapsulates humanistic, person-centered therapy and the power of the ego, and unconscious mind. My clients develop rapport in an empathetic, non-judgmental, and supportive, growth-minded environment. Humanistic therapy treats the person as a whole; emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is a highly individualized process that centers on the strengths of the client and their innate ability to make lasting positive changes. A fundamental aspect of client centered therapy is the dynamic, between client and therapist. The client feels heard, supported and always in a non-judgmental growth-minded environment.

Brainspotting

This powerful trauma-informed therapy hinges on the idea that where we look determines the area of the brain where we are thinking, and holding that memory. By accessing these brain-spots, we can build positive memories while allowing clients to deeply process and integrate deep, sad or traumatic memories.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Michael, as an emotionally focused therapist is to bring you from your cerebral, intelligent mind into your body, integrating self with thought. This grounding technique is used for you from your mind, to your heart, and eventually your gut will direct you if you have a flow of endless thoughts, this therapy will help you to focus on what you want when you want, and allow your body to access the information it already intuitively knows.

Neurofeedback

My specialty as a Board Certified Neurotherapist, I use QEEG Brain Imaging and Neurofeedback to target areas as a brain that are not functioning at its most optimal level. We view your brain in 3-D, and holistically help train brainwaves back to their norm using a holistic, non-invasive, technology that centers on neuroplasticity and operant conditioning. I am a pioneer in the field of neuro-biofeedback and find Neurofeedback to be incredibly successful, I have over 1,000 satisfied clients who agree!

Family Therapy

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I see each individual as a person in their environment. Shaped by the experiences, people, successes, and habits built over generations. We explore foundational principles in the familial family, as well as current family/relationships. Child centered therapy is also used as well as attachment theory as it means of understanding oneself and others, our needs as well as expectations, and evolving inter-generational relationships.
