Hello! First off, I'm so glad you are here. This is such a big step. My names Morgan and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. I have been a mental health therapist for 7 years, graduating with my Masters in 2017. I have worked with a multitude of ages and diagnoses. My target population is adults. Many of my clients in the past have struggled with anxiety, maternal depression, trauma, ADHD, and more. My passion lies within helping others find there most healthy, happy, and whole self. I love to take a strengths-based approach to working toward your goals. CBT and mindfulness are two other modalities I often use.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will begin with brief introductions and I will give a basic template of what to expect with our sessions. We will also complete a diagnostic assessment to look over mental health symptoms, past life experiences that have made an impact on your present self, treatment goals, and other factors that play a role in struggles you are facing. This session is used to build a foundation for therapeutic services and a therapeutic relationship between you and I.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have 7 years of experience thus far as a mental health therapist. Within those 7 years, I have worked with ages from 3 years old to people in their 70's. I have provided services to those with dual diagnosis, complex cases, people who were apprehensive to begin services, and people who were ready to dive right in. I can promise to meet you where you are at. My approach is more laid back and I prefer to create a safe, relaxed environment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT in many forms, with multiple age ranges from adolescent to adult. Mindfulness is a portion of CBT - focusing on our relation to our thoughts and how much we are influenced by them. Another form includes challenging your thought patterns within cycles of depression, anxiety, trauma, and more. We will focus on your core beliefs and how they correlate with your thoughts and with your mental health struggles.

Strength-Based

A strengths-based approach can be so useful, especially with individuals who are struggling with feeling inferior, being abused, feeling victimized by a situation, and more. The important piece of this treatment modality is looking at yourself as a survivor of what you’ve been through, rather than a victim to it. Finding the strength you already embody, but may not have discovered, and utilize it to be resilient and rise.

Humanistic

The humanistic treatment method is focusing holistically on your whole self. It’s about increasing your self-awareness and working on your conscious thoughts.
