Have you ever felt like your life is a puzzle scattered all over a table and you are struggling to put the pieces together? I have had the opportunity to guide a wide variety of individuals with putting the puzzle pieces together. My name is Julia, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have worked in the mental health field for approximately eight years and have experience in a clinical setting and case management.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session an assessment will be conducted to gather information to help assist developing goals to work on. These goals will be developed with the myself and the individual to ensure the person is working on areas they feel are important to them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have had the privilege to work with children and families for many years. After years working in the field, I have been able to utilize my strength which is to focus on other’s strengths. We tended to look at what is going wrong in our life and neglect to focus on what is going right. I always say, ‘When life gives you lemons, make some lemonade.’

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

Do you have a faith you would like to incorporate into treatment? As a believer, my faith is an important aspect and I believe it is a strength that can be utilized to help you towards your treatment goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is useful when an individual desires to change a behavior. Together, we will look at changing the thought process, which will improve the way the person feels, and as a result the individual will experience the desired behavioral change.

Strength-Based

As a social worker one treatment method that I will use is a Strength-Based Approach. Every person possesses strengths even when they do not feel they do. We will explore the strengths rather than a person's weakness.
