Whether it's fertility struggles, pregnancy loss, or the stress of pregnancy or parenthood, know you're not alone. I understand first hand the range of emotions that accompany these transitional periods because I've been there too. I offer compassionate support and evidence-based guidance to navigate this journey. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in reproductive mental health, I combine my clinical background and personal experience to offer a holistic and therapeutic approach. I currently work with both individuals and couples on their own individual paths during their family-building efforts. I will support you to navigate your relationship, fertility challenges, and transitioning to parenthood by providing you a safe space to tell your story, become aware of your feelings, and access your own healing power. Reach out for a consultation today. At this time, I provide individual therapy and couple’s counseling via telehealth services to clients residing in Pennsylvania. To learn more about me and my approach, please check out my website at www.MulberryTherapeutic.com. I am so looking forward to meeting and partnering with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions and a short history, and then focus on the specific challenges that brought you to therapy. This will help us to design a tailored plan to guide during our future work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When applied to reproductive mental health, CBT can be a valuable tool for helping individuals cope with the emotional challenges associated with reproductive issues, such as fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, or transitioning to the postpartum period.

Narrative

The reproductive story is a therapeutic approach that involves exploring an individual or couple's experiences related to fertility, reproductive health, and the challenges they may face in trying to conceive. I utilize a narrative-focused approach to help my clients make sense of their journey, cope with emotional struggles, and navigate the complex emotions associated with fertility challenges.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapeutic approach that focuses on mindfulness, acceptance of thoughts and feelings, and commitment to values-based actions. When providing reproductive mental health support, I utilize ACT to tailor my approach to address the specific challenges and emotions associated with your reproductive issues.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an effective therapeutic approach for individuals experiencing reproductive trauma and birth trauma. This therapy helps process and alleviate the distressing memories associated with traumatic reproductive and childbirth experiences, such as complications during birth, loss, or fertility struggles. By targeting the emotional and psychological impact of these events, EMDR aids in reducing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression, promoting healing and emotional well-being. Through structured eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, EMDR facilitates the reprocessing of traumatic memories, allowing individuals to integrate these experiences more adaptively and move forward with a sense of empowerment and resilience.
