"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending". If you have ever felt stuck from past hardships or traumas that are impacting your current relationships, life satisfaction, career, and overall well-being, I may be the therapist for you. I will help you regain a sense of control over your own life and will give you back the pen so you can write your ending in a manner that serves you best. I believe in empowerment, and in my practice, I bring compassion, honesty, and mutual respect. My focus is on helping you identify your own strengths and internal resources, and build the skills needed to live your fullest life. I believe that it is a privilege to be trusted with your story and know that within each being, there lies a great deal of strength. Sometimes, we just need someone to help us unlock and see that strength.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I place a huge emphasis on creating a non-judgemental, safe space for exploring your feelings through compassion, authenticity, and respect. I believe that the therapist-client relationship is essential to this process. We will work together on creating goals that matter to you and are realistic for us to accomplish together. You will walk away with the skills that are needed to reach these goals. In between sessions, you will be asked to practice skills, write and reflect, and may have additional CBT worksheets.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I primarily utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you identify, interrupt, and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. Other treatment methods include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In my practice, the tools we use will be tailored to meet your specific needs. They may include mindfulness, relaxation techniques, grief work, or solution-focused brief therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am passionate about providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and holistic approaches to therapy. As a child of immigrant parents, I have a unique perspective when it comes to culture and race and pride myself on working cross-culturally. I practice from a place of curiosity, humility, and mutual respect.
