Dr. Bridgett Tate is a Licensed Psychologist (#40067), with training and experience in assessing and treating children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Potsdam, a Master of Science in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a doctorate in Adolescent Clinical Psychology from Prairie View A&M University. Her doctoral research focused on biracial identity formation and behavioral challenges related to parental attachment.

In our first session, we will complete a history interview that will allow me to better understand you as an individual in relation to other important factors in your life.

With eight years of experience in community mental health, specializing in working with children and adolescents, Dr. Tate has completed additional training at Aspire Inpatient Hospital for acute crises, The Adolescent Center for therapy and assessment services, and Family Forward, which specializes in assessing and treating acute developmental trauma using the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

While I am a CBT therapist, I am trauma-trained and utilize Somatosensory interventions and other neuropsychological principles in treatment
