Hi, I’m Tim Webb, LCMHC. I’ve been a behavioral health clinician 34 years with an undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Masters degree in Counseling from Wake Forest University. I provide individual and family counseling services with a holistic and eclectic approach. As a former firefighter and Emergency Room clinician, I understand many of the unique experiences of both first responders and Veterans. A lifelong martial artist including some boxing experience, I enjoy weightlifting and spending time with my family.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will begin working to develop trust which is the foundation of any successful relationship. We will also begin identifying the issues you want to address and the outcomes you want to achieve. We’ll also discuss potential counseling strategies and techniques that may be beneficial as we work together. These may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR (I will be certified in June of this year), exposure therapy and powerful visualization techniques.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

By developing a deep understanding of both the human condition and each individualize client, I’ve learned to identify and address the source of the pain that leaders folks to the counseling process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT with many clients to address PTSD, substance abuse, suicidal ideation and a variety of other issues. I believe what we think determines how we feel which determines how we act. We are who we think we are!

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

We are all shaped by not only our personal experiences but by the unique cultures in which we have been raised and live. Our racial, religious, ethnic, nationality and other cultural factors all influence who we are and make us unique human beings. In counseling, we explore cultural issues as they affect our daily lives.

Eclectic

As a Counselor, it’s my job to use the tools that can make the most difference in your life. Therefore, I may use CBT, exposure therapy, relapse prevention, coaching, faith based strategies, writing therapy, Gestalt, 12 step and other modalities to address your Ubisoft needs.

Faith based therapy

I work with folks of all faith systems with the belief that the “great Truths” are revealed across the major religions as well as across support groups like AA/NA. I start with the premise that we are all “created in God’s image” and work to help clients identify their unique gifts and purpose.

Family Therapy

Families are an eco-system of their own and often we need to address family issues to truly make progress.
