My name is Susan Charney MSW,LCSW with a diversified experiential backround. I work with those individuals ,couples and families that are compliant and realize that everyone can use some help at some point. It takes courage to realize help is needed. My job in the first session, is to be transparent and to establish trust.Thank you for choosing me as your therapist.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is general information gathering, the issue(s) at present that need resolution. I understand that it is a big step to come to therapy. I do my best to help prioritize the issues presented and assist in establishing goal for therapy. Due to my work especially with covid, I have and continue to work with many who work in the medical field.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a native New Yorker living now on the west coast. I have a direct approach. The more you can share with me the more we can get done towards your goal (s). I have some of my publications on my website susancharney.com
