What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Our first session with be stress-free, just two people having a conversation. I will collect a little background information over the next few sessions. We can begin to tackle problems, concerns or issues one at a time together.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I like to utilize evidence-based treatments (CBT, CPT). I also focus on empowering individuals to focus on self-care and utilizing coping skills routinely. We all need to "break up with stress" and I want your quality of life to be high!
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have been a trauma therapist for 10 years. Primarily working with Combat Veterans, current Military members and victims of Military Sexual Trauma. I also have extensive experience working with individuals that suffer with anxiety and depression. My approach is somewhat untraditional and informal. I like to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for everyone. You can cuss, you can yell, you can stand, sit or lie down. You won't offend me or scare me. Let's do this together!
