Whether you have a list of 20 things you want to work on, or you have a sense that you’d like support but can’t quite identify why or how, we can work to identify and explore together. I use a client-centered, experiential, strengths-based approach. As a therapist, I love helping folks integrate their parts of selves and attune to their inner sense of direction. Together we can use a whole self approach that values all the parts of you: mind, body, and spirit. Through use of mindful somatic awareness, practical coping skills, expressive and nature-based approaches, and an inter-generational lens, we can identify root issues and work together to heal.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients say they feel understood by me, and can sense my authenticity and compassion. I work together with you to identify your goals, understand some of your challenges better and help you get through them. In working with stuck parts and trauma, I believe that it’s important to invite the body to participate in session at its own pace. Often we are living disconnected from ourselves, and need support to integrate so that we can be the most aligned and powerful versions of ourselves. Relationships are essential to well being, and connecting more with ourselves can help us cultivate more healthy connections with others.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have training in the use of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eugene Gendlin’s Focusing, and Polyvagal theory.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I guide grounding meditations in session and help with somatic awareness, emotional articulation and coping strategies.
