Hi there! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Connecticut. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Mason University and have been seeing clients since 2020. I see teenagers and adults who may be experiencing distress from stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD or trauma to manage their symptoms and find peace and healing. Using a holistic approach, I work with clients compassionately and respectfully to help clients achieve balance in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I know that starting therapy (maybe for the first time!) can be stressful for some, and building trust can take time. In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then explore the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions together. If this is your first time trying therapy, rest assured that in the first session, I can answer any questions you may have about the process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With a compassionate approach, utilizing researched-based treatment methods and creating a tailored treatment plan, I have seen previous clients find peace from past trauma, reach their goals with increased motivation and navigate life stressors with coping skills outside of session. I believe finding a balance and healing is possible.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-informed & researched-backed trauma treatment intervention. This method is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories using guided eye movements. I received my EMDR Training in 2022 from EMDR Institute. Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness techniques such as meditation and breathing exercises can help lower feelings of distress, increase feelings of peace and bring us back into the present moment.

Trauma Informed Care

Clients' wellness and comfort level are always on the forefront of my mind. I ensure that clients feel that they have an active role in their treatment and are comfortable with the interventions used.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing can be a helpful approach for clients who would like to find more motivation to complete goals and tasks.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems can be a helpful way to "un-blend" with emotions and get to know ourselves more deeply by becoming welcoming and curious to parts of ourselves.
