Hello, my name is Paula. I am a licensed mental health counselor, utilizing a variety of evidenced based strategies and techniques to help you with issues that may be hindering you from functioning at your full potential. I am a compassionate therapist and I try to create a therapeutic atmosphere built on unconditional positive regard, non judgement, and respect. I have experience working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety and depression, have difficulty managing anger, have trauma related disorders, and many other mental health concerns that tend to sap away their energy and self esteem. Let me help you regain your confidence and shift you on a path of hope and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Building rapport for a therapeutic relationship built on respect. Discussing the main issue that brought the client to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I truly believe that connecting with clients on a deeper level of understanding, empathy, and compassion, are the components that make the therapist client relationship thrive. As a therapist, I bring these attributes to the table and I think these qualities are the foundation for clients being successful in therapy.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and I believe integrating a Christian perspective into my practice as a therapist has proven to be extremely helpful to clients who are struggling with various mental health disorders. Having a spiritual approach to mental health can open doors to treatment that foster major breakthroughs in the healing process.

Family Therapy

I believe utilizing a family systems approach can be beneficial in uncovering underlying emotional wounds that have been suppressed by an individual. The process of delving into the past of one's family of origin can help to discover the connectivity of the family as a unit and how that unit affects the individual on a personal level.
