I am a LMFT, Recovery Coach and Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher. I am grateful that I can pass on the life-skills that I've learned, to help you gain control of your emotions and find happiness within. I will inspire & guide you to leave your problem-saturated narrative and enter into a more solution-focused approach to life! Emotion regulation is the most precious commodity one can possess; it is a gift that will serve you and those around you, for the rest of your lives... Yet few people ever learn how, as it must be taught, just like any other skill-set. I'll show you how! In truth I enjoy working with a diverse population and do not have a 'set' clientele I prefer more or less than others.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Your first session with me will start with my asking “what brings you here to see me today?” Once I get an idea of why you are seeking therapy, I will assess what your needs are and let you know what additional supports I feel you need, if any. Once we have an understanding of why you are seeking therapy, our time will be a mix of self-exploration & solution-focused ideas to get you feeling better from our first session. You will leave with new coping skills and a smile :)

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have an undeniable faith in my clients. I believe, to my core, that everybody has the ability to find peace. I have the ability to quickly join and understand your mental health needs - and I will share my findings with you in our first session. My greatest strength is to quickly guide you away from the systemic patterns of thought & behavior that do not serve you, and guide you toward a more clear and productive way to think - and live. Lastly; I’m told I’m funny and my voice is ‘calming’.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a must, as it holds wonderful skill-building techniques that you will soon learn. These new life-skills are direct, easy & achievable. You will love it. I am a firm believer that we can get through anything with the proper help. We all experience anxiety and/or depression, anger, loneliness & fear at some point. I want to normalize this for you: It is not a ‘bad’ thing to experience any of these feelings as they can often be a sign that you are ready to grow...if you know how to change that negative inner dialogue & those behaviors that don't serve you! My extremely effective approach utilizes solution-focused & strength-based therapy models such as Positive Psychology, CBT, DBT, SFT, Mindfulness. Together we will quickly get to the root of what is holding you back from a truly happy, fulfilling and productive life. From your very first session, you will get the referrals you need in order to take back control of your life. You will leave your first session with at least three highly effective coping skills that can be immediately implemented. I do give homework… But don’t worry, it’s not hard. :)

Compassion Focused

I am a huge fan of group therapy and have witnessed miraculous transformations in group settings! There is a kinship within a group settings that has very special healing effect. My approach is upbeat, supportive & casual through a mind/body/spirit lens.

Family Therapy

Couples & family therapy. Couples & family issues bring a common theme of challenges into therapy: There is usually a high amount of stress and anxiety that CAN be alleviated - by all members of your family, once you've gained new ways to approach your relationship(s). My intense training/experience has given me the ability to quickly assess the core of your relational pattern of communication & interaction that simply do not serve you and your loved one(s). From there, I will educate, empower and redirect you away from your problem-saturated narrative toward a more copacetic, loving, harmonious home life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a relatively 'new' approach and it is wildly successful. I depend on it - and so will you! I utilize DBT throughout my sessions and I will share with you what I think are some of the most powerful & revolutionary coping life-skills.
