Hello there. I’m a licensed clinical social worker. I earned my Master of Social Work at the University of Tennessee. I’ve been practicing since 2017. I am honored to help people manage symptoms associated with trauma. I use EMDR to help clients explore the connection between their past experiences and how those past experiences present themselves in their present life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with an introduction, then, we’ll discuss your challenges and how you would like to address them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe in my client’s right to self-determination, meaning you decide what works best for you. My therapeutic style is pretty laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I am trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), trauma, and grief and loss.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I was trained in TF-CBT in 2019 and I have expanded my knowledge on trauma and TF-CBT through refresher courses since then. I have used TF-CBT to treat children who have experienced traumatic events and I have also used elements of TF-CBT when treating adults who have experienced childhood trauma.

EMDR

I was trained in EMDR in 2017. In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients explore the connection between their past experiences and how those past experiences present themselves in their present life.

Eclectic

I consider myself more of an eclectic therapist. I pull from the knowledge that I have gained from the various modalities that I have been trained in and customize them to fit the client's needs.
