Hi! I'm Candace. Do you ever feel like an island, where nobody truly understands you? When you attempt to express your needs, it often leaves you questioning your sanity and making you feel isolated. As you scroll through social media, it seems like everyone else has it all figured out. Despite your best efforts, you feel trapped and stagnant. Together we can navigate through it. You are not alone. As a mother of 3, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate life as a parent, maintain a work/life balance, and curate healthy relationships. It can be exhausting! Through my training and experience, I specialize in supporting other women with their emotional struggles and empowering them to find solutions within themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is an integral part of therapy. It allows both you and me to determine whether we are a good fit and to set the stage for your counseling experience. It's important for you to feel comfortable, heard, and respected in this initial meeting. We also work to establish goals for future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my strengths is my dedication to active listening. When working with clients, I prioritize creating a safe and calm environment where they can freely express themselves. It's crucial to me that they feel secure in embracing their authentic selves. To establish trust and openness, I lead by example. I'm down-to-earth and authentic, so clients can connect with me on a deeper level. By being approachable, I aim to dissolve barriers and create a therapeutic space for genuine exploration and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone of my therapeutic practice, with a strong focus on helping clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors. I have extensive experience in using CBT to address a wide range of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to stress management.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is an integral part of my counseling practice, where I provide clients with essential information about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and self-care techniques. Through psychoeducation, individuals gain a deeper understanding of their concerns, helping them make informed decisions about their treatment and daily lives. My goal is to empower my clients through information.

Trauma Informed Care

I have had over 10 years of experience providing trauma informed care to those I work with. In my practice, I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard and validated.

Supportive

I have extensive experience providing supportive counseling that focuses on each individual's unique needs and concerns to help cope with difficult life events or emotional distress.
