Hi, I am Amber. I am a Christian-oriented therapist who seeks to help others feel empowered to make changes to better their lives. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
The client and clinician will discuss treatment goals the first session to determine best course of action. The client is involved in their treatment decision making process. My goal is for each client to feel empowered at the end of their counseling journey.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use a variety of methods based upon the situation. The most commonly used are CBT, IFS, DBT, and trauma focused therapy. I will always include the client on any tools and methods to make sure they are comfortable with the approach.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I feel one of my biggest strengths is being able to connect with my clients and build rapport. I feel connection is crucial to the therapeutic relationship. I want each client to know they are not just another patient on my caseload and make an effort to build a therapeutic relationship.
