You have many choices when it comes to picking a counselor/therapist, but what is the most important thing to consider when choosing? Does the person appear to be kind? Do they have the qualifications to serve you? Does he/she make you feel comfortable and ease the anxiety you might be feeling regarding sharing such personal information so quickly? How does the office environment feel (telehealth or in the office)? More importantly, how quickly do you feel your exact problem is being addressed?

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I enjoy setting a new client's mind at ease and working hard for them to feel comfortable in a therapy environment. The satisfaction I feel when a client shares how easy it is to speak with me brings me considerable joy. We should all love what we do, and I can genuinely say that I love being a therapist in today's world.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my biggest strengths is working with those experiencing grief. I have life and clinical experience and feel the most comfortable discussing the difficulties associated with moving on after extensive grief.
