Hello, I'm Shelia Campbell Bright I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist. I earned my Master of Science in Professional Counseling at Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, Ok. I've been a practicing clinician for 6 years. ~( Licensed in: North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina) You and I will uncover the underlying causes of your worries, thoughts and fears to help you relax and see your situations in a new light. Not only will I help eliminate the ruminations and anxiety attacks so you can be productive at work and sleep at night, but I will also teach you problem solving and coping skills to build your resilience to cope when new problems arise in the future.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where your comfort and well-being are the top priorities. We'll start by discussing what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. This initial conversation helps me understand your unique challenges and goals, whether they relate to relationships, career stress, or emotional issues like anxiety and depression. I'll introduce you some of the therapeutic methods I use to address your specific needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution -Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). By the end of the first session, you'll have a clear understanding of the therapeutic process and how it will support your personal journey to reach your goals. You'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, ensuring that you feel confident and comfortable moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I’m skilled and dedicated in guiding individuals who are navigating planned and unplanned life phases, such as divorce, grief, retirement, marriage, or pregnancy. Let's navigate these life phases together to achieve personal and professional growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT cognitive behavioral therapy techniques as a foundational treatment modality to help you discover the link between your behaviors, emotions, and your thoughts.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

The Person- Centered Therapy approach will allow you to discover your solutions as I guide you through the therapeutic process.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Using the Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach, you and I will work together to move you forward in a short amount of time when you are feeling overwhelmed and stuck.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

With ACT I will help you develop psychological resiliency. This is a form of behavioral therapy that combines mindfulness skills with the practice of self-acceptance. When you learn to be more accepting of your thoughts and feelings, I'm there to help you commit to facing the problem head-on rather than avoiding your stresses.
