Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), based in California, with over 30 years experience providing psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and couples. I help individuals gain insight into their thoughts , feelings, and behaviors so they can successfully revise their choices and experiences. Although I have lots of great experience, I continue to grow from work with my therapy clients and strive to understand them fully. I currently serve California residents remotely only. Also, I am happy to collaborate with your medication provider, if needed.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

We'll get to know each other to build rapport and the beginning of a strong therapeutic relationship. I'll ask you to identify your most pressing challenges or issues, so I can make an individualized plan to address them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength is in building a strong therapeutic relationship so that I can best support you through your journey in therapy. My clinical experience provides me an excellent basis for helping you identify the root causes that may be inhibiting your progress in your desired life goals. I have a good sense of humor which I bring into the therapy session. I am the author of the book, "Restored Hope: Exploring the Scriptures about Homosexuality."

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

The psychodynamic approach in therapy explores past and present experiences that are affecting current behavior patterns. In psychodynamic therapy the therapeutic relationship is primary.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify the distorted or false beliefs that may lead to problematic feelings and behaviors.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

PET is used when a past traumatic experience needs to be unstuck or resolved, allowing the person to be free from the intense memories and effects of the event in their daily life.
