Hello! I am Cassie and am an LCSW and LCAC in Indiana. I feel it is an honor to work with individuals to find what they are seeking in coming to therapy. I find that therapy is intimidating to a lot of people and strive to make people feel comfortable in their therapy journey. I have been practicing for approximately 15 years and continue to love serving others whom I have the pleasure to work with.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session, we will have brief introductions and then dive into an understanding of the reason for seeking therapy and what your struggles are and goals. This will help us develop a plan to meet your needs and accomplish your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I find that meeting people where they are and working together is beneficial to success in a positive therapeutic experience. I am direct in providing support and feedback to my clients and encourage a sense of humor through therapy. In working on hard situations and experiences, I believe we need someone to support us and be there without judgement.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals who want to make a change for themselves. Sometimes, you don't even know what kind of change you are seeking but know you want something more. I enjoy working with people who feel overwhelmed for stuck and need support in working to meet their goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT throughout a majority of my practice career. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of behavioral treatment. It helps people problem-solve to identify solutions in daily living. CBT reveals the relationship between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and the behaviors that follow. Through identification of these thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, it allows changes in thought processes and integration of healthy coping skills.

EMDR

I have recently integrated EMDR to provide individuals the techniques to desensitize and reprocess thoughts, emotions, and beliefs stemming from traumatic experiences. EMDR has specific techniques to work through negative core beliefs and reprocess those beliefs into healthy & positive beliefs about self.

Supportive

It is important to create a relationship that is supportive and allows the individual to feel comfortable in being authentic and vulnerable to address needs in sessions.
