I am an Army Veteran and LCPC with a certification as a national certified counselor through the NBCC and have accumulated over 6 years of direct individual/group practice as a licensed counselor. Overall, my experience spans over 10 years working as a crisis, substance use, and mental health counselor in the field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges, and substance use. I also have assisted many clients who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My counseling style is very welcoming and inviting. I believe in honoring the values of respect, sensitivity, compassion, empathy and embracing a holistic point of view to promote mental wellness. It takes courage to make the steps towards a more fulfilling and happier life and embrace change. If you are ready to take that leap into a healthier mind, body, and spirit, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you in your new journey!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

When taking this therapeutic journey with me, there are expectations of not being afraid of growth, working through your comfort zone at times, and be motivated to do the "homework" I may assign to you. There may be moments of fun, loving laughter as I can be funny with my "mom" jokes as icebreakers but I make sure to keep the atmosphere professional, comforting, and warm for the best experience possible. So, be ready to work towards your best possible self in the oasis I provide!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, dialectical-behavioral, existential and holistic spirituality. I will customize our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I am very passionate in helping my clients gain insight into their issues and pushing them towards their goals. I pride myself in being assertive, honest, and developing a true connection with my clients. I am not afraid to show tough love, but I make sure that my methods are within the grounds of being therapeutically appropriate to encourage change. I make sure that my clients always feel welcome and can count on me to provide them the best experience possible on their therapeutic journey.
