I'm Dr. Ryan Reed, a practicing psychologist since 2015. Throughout life, many of us find ourselves feeling pulled in a thousand directions, unable to keep up with the stressors of life. Other times, we struggle with more specific situations like anxiety, grief or loss, depression, or recovering from a trauma. I'm here to help you overcome these hurdles and get back to the life that you want. I also help high performers manage anxiety, improve performance, and avoid burnout. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and soul. I am well-experienced with the practical application of mindfulness exercises to help improve and enhance performance. Whatever stage of life you find yourself struggling with at this time, I'm here to help. As someone who has been to therapy, I understand the struggle of seeking help. Let's work together through evidence-based practices to get your life back on track.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I'll start with a brief introduction, answer any specific questions you might have, and then we will begin the process of exploring the different factors that you may be struggling with. We can co-create a course of action, working through the lens of my expertise in therapy and your expertise in yourself.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strengths include direct, action-oriented approaches, strengths-based ideology, direct feedback, and a strong emphasis on rapport and connection.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using a CBT approach, we can take a more in-depth look at how your thoughts and behaviors are, or are not, serving you. I'll guide you through appropriate ways of starting to challenge and change them for optimal growth.

Christian Counseling

Utilizing a predominantly Christian-based approach can be useful, if your Faith is a big part of who you are. I can help you to bridge the gap that we often perceive between our mental and spiritual health.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is, at its core, the ability to be aware of what is going on in our body, our mind, and our soul, without getting too carried away by it. Using this approach, we can focus on gentle ways of increasing your awareness and comfortability with what goes on in your life, and work towards being able to thoughtfully and peacefully co-exist with your mind and mood.

Strength-Based

I find it highly important and helpful to focus not only on what you believe needs to change, but also on what is going well in your life and what you excel at.
