Hello! My name is Marisol. I am located in central Texas and provide virtual therapy sessions; I enjoy working with Adults and Adolescents. I have over 10 years of experience and have worked in various therapeutic settings which include treatment centers; psychiatric hospitals, and private practice. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, lack of motivation, low self-esteem, life/career changes, and unhealthy coping mechanisms. My counseling approach is person-centered and solution-focused. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, as everyone has their story to tell. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
After each session, my hope is that each client walks away with a better sense of direction and understanding. Client's should feel more at peace and empowered to continue working on themselves and what they can control.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
The approaches I use are: cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused, crisis intervention and positive psychology.

My passion is working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, directionless, and often feel like they have lost their purpose. I enjoy exploring people's pasts to make connections to the present, in order to help create a happier and healthier future. My counseling style is pretty laid back and casual. I have been described as compassionate, open-minded and a good listener, with a pretty good sense of humor. I try and help clients focus on strengths, and help them use those strengths to overcome life's obstacles.
