As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida, I bring five years of dedicated experience to the field, specializing in supporting individuals facing challenges related to eating disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and more. As a therapist, I am deeply committed to fostering a safe and empathetic space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. My approach is rooted in kindness, compassion, and empathy, guiding clients through their healing journey with patience and understanding. I believe in the power of collaboration and tailor my therapeutic interventions to meet each individual's unique needs, empowering them to navigate life's difficulties and achieve personal growth and well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they will have the opportunity to share their story, concerns, and goals for therapy in a safe and confidential space. We will begin by establishing a strong therapeutic rapport and establishing trust, respect, and collaboration. Together, we will explore presenting issues, assess needs, and discuss potential treatment approaches tailored to individual goals and preferences. By the end of the session, clients can expect to leave with a sense of hope, empowerment, and clarity about the path forward in their healing journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a structured and evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. I incorporate CBT techniques to help clients recognize and reframe unhelpful thoughts, develop coping strategies, and implement behavioral changes to address their specific challenges. By working collaboratively with clients, I aim to empower them to take an active role in managing their mental health and achieving their therapeutic goals through CBT interventions.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is a mindfulness-based approach that encourages clients to accept their thoughts and feelings while committing to actions that align with their values. I utilize ACT techniques to help clients develop psychological flexibility, increase mindfulness, and clarify their values. By integrating experiential exercises and mindfulness practices, I guide clients in accepting their internal experiences and taking meaningful actions towards a rich and meaningful life.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is a type of cognitive-behavioral therapy specifically designed to address symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and related difficulties. I integrate CPT techniques to help clients process and reframe their traumatic experiences, challenge unhelpful beliefs about the trauma, and develop coping strategies to manage distressing symptoms. Through structured sessions and collaborative exploration, I guide clients in gaining a deeper understanding of their experiences and fostering resilience in their recovery journey.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based treatment is a cornerstone of my therapeutic approach, drawing from attachment theory to address clients' relational and emotional struggles. I integrate attachment principles into my practice by fostering secure attachments, exploring early relational patterns, and repairing attachment ruptures. This framework guides my interventions, facilitating deeper understanding and healing within client-therapist relationships.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a central component of my therapeutic approach. Rooted in cognitive-behavioral principles, DBT emphasizes acceptance and change strategies to help clients manage intense emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and cultivate mindfulness. In my practice, I integrate DBT techniques such as emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skills training. These tools empower clients to develop adaptive coping strategies and enhance their overall well-being.
