I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have invested in education training as a graduate professor for the past 11 years, helping graduate students move efficiently through their education into their careers. In addition to currently serving as an adjunct faculty member for Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology, I also held the title of Lead Faculty and Faculty Advisor for the University of Phoenix, providing expertise in clinical supervision, assessment, and treatment planning. I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues providing services that span from therapy for depression and grief counseling to deep family work, couples therapy, and beyond. I offer a holistic personalized approach, tailored to each client’s individual needs. Clinically, I work from an integrative/holistic perspective, which involves, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness–based therapies.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we will review any questions you may have, expectations of treatment and have an opportunity to establish an understanding of what to expect.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think As a clinician and a graduate professor what makes my work different is my transparency and my ability to make complicated theories and concepts SIMPLE. I work in such a way where I attempt to eliminate any of the unknowns that may or may not come with treatment. What does this mean exactly? I simply provide a safe space where delivering the truth is the driving force. That at all moments throughout the therapy process, there is no confusion as to why something was said or done. What ive found is that with this transparency …problems are solved quicker, trust is built easier and the relationship is simply built from an authentic and genuine foundation.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 12 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
