My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I offer clients many years of successfully treating a wide range of conditions in multiple modalities. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and solution focused. We'll work together to explore behaviors and thought patterns that may be contributing to problems in present day living and review skills tailored to harness optimal functioning.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In my experience, people improve their functioning when they are provided with evidenced based skill sets and taught to practice them in a nonjudgemental, compassionate and supportive environment. During session, clients learn meditation and mindfulness-based techniques to help them consciously pay attention to thoughts and emotional experiencing to help them learn to have a healthier relationship with themselves and to face external challenges more effectively.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help clients break cycles of distress associated with traumatic memories.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I provide Culturally sensitive therapy by recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and understand how culture informs and may influence one's demeanor, thoughts, behaviors, relationship to self, others and the therapeutic processes. I provide clients a nonjudgemental safe space to share the multilayed influences that may be impacting their functioning.
