I am an LMHC in IN with substantial experience as a psychotherapist, three years of training in Jungian psychoanalysis, training in Motivational Interviewing, and dream work with adults. I hold a Ph.D. in psychology with a concentration in Jungian Studies from Saybrook University and an M.A. in Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University. My goal is to explore new paths in your journey that will bring meaning to your life, and from there, even during difficult moments, you will find a way to soul-healing and integrity. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need support during such challenging times and feel I can be a good fit for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My therapeutic approach is integrative and based on psychodynamics; it is person-centered and emotionally focused and includes mindfulness practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. This combination allows me to work on more profound levels of the psyche. It is an in-depth psychological approach. The first session usually focuses on getting to know you and what brought you to therapy; this is when you will see how comfortable you feel with me and if we are a good fit.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I love being a therapist because seeing other human beings' growth and healing is a gift and a blessing in itself. I feel what I do. Being authentic is my greatest strength. My clients appreciate my direct and active approach. They feel that in front of them is a human being speaking with another human being and, together, finding a path to healing through a meaningful therapeutic relationship.

My treatment methods

Jungian

I have a Ph.D. in psychology and an LMHC in Indiana. My approach is strength-based, integrative, flexible, and holistic. I tailor the therapy sessions to the needs of my clients rather than following a single theoretical model. One of my areas of expertise is depression, which is a complex condition that requires a deep understanding of what leads to experiencing depressive symptoms. On a deeper level, we will find that this depression is covering unresolved anger and, ultimately, fear. I treat depression using psychodynamics, mindfulness, CBT, and Art Therapy, and the same approach is also helpful in treating anxiety disorders. During the pandemic and after, I have been seeing clients who experienced traumatic loss and are having difficulties finding meaning in their lives. For those, I have been successful in using existential psychotherapy. Each case is different, and yours may need a different approach. Ultimately, it's the therapeutic relationship that makes the difference. Psychotherapy will bring awareness to the internalized narratives that have hindered your choices and possibilities to achieve your potential fully and have healthy relationships. No matter what happens, you can choose to become who you want to be with support, love, and courage and have a more meaningful and fulfilling life ahead of you.
