Hello! I'm Diana. Thank you for visiting my profile! Let's talk about your therapy options and work with you to create a cost-effective solution. Not everyone comes to therapy every week and do a full hour. New clients need to do a free consultation before getting on my caseload. Text me at 360-716-3939, tell me you're from Grow, and I'll set up a free video consultation (my schedule changes a lot since I also have a private practice and may have availability not reflected on the Grow calendar but I can find a spot that works for you!) If you want some help to resolve anxiety, build confidence, and take control of your life, then you're in the right place. (*please note that I don't treat for depression/suicidality/self-harm/drug or alcohol abuse, anorexia, bulimia, other severe issues or life-threatening issues*) Burnout and stress can cause a lot of anxiety and sometimes even symptoms of PTSD. I can help you create a healing process that helps you move forward in life. I will also teach you how to develop habits that align with your personal values, as well as teach you how to set boundaries and create goals. My experiences as a therapist, educator, parent, and fellow human being has taught me that there is a definite need to take a holistic approach, meaning that we have to pay attention to what our bodies are telling us, and realize that our environment, situations, relationships, workplaces, families, nutrition, sleep, habits, money, and world events all have an effect on us. I'm not robot, and neither are you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will gather information about what has brought you to therapy and get a good radar fix on how to help you. I also like to learn about your interests, preferences, and what has or has not worked for you before with other therapists. I also want to learn about your heart's desire, goals, and dreams.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Mindset and intuition are a couple of my biggest strengths. My background in martial arts taught me a lot about values, mindset, and the courage to put them into action. When I studied hypnotherapy, I found that I had learned these mindset techniques during my time in martial arts. I take a very "theory into practice" approach so that clients are provided with real life applications of what they are learning in therapy. I always incorporate the "mind/body" approach, to which I add the spiritual and intuitive elements. I'm very open-minded in my beliefs and enjoy providing a safe space for clients who want to explore their beliefs and mindsets.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Using ACT methods, I help clients understand themselves on a deeper level and create personal wellness goals that align with their core beliefs and values. I enjoy teaching my clients how to use mindfulness, breathing techniques, and EFT Tapping to help activate a natural relaxation response.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a cornerstone of my work along with ACT. In therapy, I help clients understand themselves and what they've been going through. It's important to have resilient ways of thinking so that you can validate the difficulty of what you're experiencing while also giving yourself hope and direction.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I always weave mindfulness into my therapy sessions because it's truly effective, especially when it's paired with ACT and CBT.

Psychoeducation

Teaching my clients how to understand the dynamics of stress, anxiety, trauma, attachment theory, etc. is the foundation upon I which I build understanding and self-development with my clients. I used to teach college, so it's natural for me to educate my clients (and no quizzes!)

Existential

This approach blends beautifully with my humanistic approach that helps people find purpose and meaning in their lives while we're all here dealing with the ups and downs of our daily lives.
