What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introductions. I will explain the limitations of confidentiality. We will discuss the specific challenges that you’re facing and your goals of therapy. I will inquire about past attempts to overcome these challenges. This information will help me to create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinician my interpersonal skills have played an integral role in my ability to establish a good rapport with my clients early on. I aim to create a safe and empowering space for my clients where they feel comfortable engaging in session and exploring their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. This information allows me to identify the root cause of their challenges and create a tailored treatment plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my experience CBT has been very effective in helping clients that are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. CBT interventions help to explore and identify how your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors influence each other. We will use this information to strategize on how you can change your thinking patterns and manage your emotions in a more positive fashion.

Narrative

In my experience Narrative Therapy has been effective in helping client’s to emotionally enter and reauthor their own stories. Narrative interventions help the client to identify alternative stories, widen their view of self, challenge old and unhealthy beliefs, and open their minds up to new ways of living that reflect a more accurate and healthy story.

Gottman method

Gottman Method has been effective in helping couples identify and remove barriers that create the feeling of stagnancy. Gottman Method interventions work to resolve conflict, improve communication patterns, increase intimacy, respect, and create a heightened sense of empathy.
