What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, expect a welcoming and safe environment where you can share your story at your own pace. We will discuss your goals for therapy, explore your current challenges, and begin to outline a tailored treatment plan. This session is an opportunity for us to build rapport and for you to ask any questions you might have about the therapy process, ensuring that you feel comfortable and informed moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my empathetic and adaptive therapeutic approach, allowing me to meet clients exactly where they are in their mental health journey. My ability to create a non-judgmental and supportive space encourages open and honest communication. My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist, my experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been integral to supporting clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, and men’s issues. CBT's structured approach helps in identifying and modifying distorted thinking and problematic behaviors which often underlie these concerns. By using techniques such as cognitive restructuring and behavioral experiments, I guide clients to challenge their negative thoughts and gradually shift their mindset towards more adaptive thinking. For instance, with trauma survivors, we often work on processing traumatic memories and alleviating PTSD symptoms through exposure and cognitive processing techniques. In treating anxiety, I employ relaxation exercises and problem-solving skills to help clients manage their anxiety in daily situations. With men’s issues, such as emotional restriction and performance anxiety, CBT aids in exploring societal expectations and personal beliefs, fostering a more open expression of emotions and healthier coping strategies. This method's adaptability and evidence-based effectiveness make it a cornerstone of my therapeutic practice.
