Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor ((LCMHC) based in North Carolina. I’ve been in the mental health field for the past 20 years in all capacities from community mental health to running a private practice, teaching first responders, and running a team of 300 clinicians nationwide. Out of all of that, what I love most is the face-to-face experience that I get with my clients . There is nothing that compares to being a part of your journey and helping you heal, find health, and create peace and consistency in your life. Regardless of where you are, you can change your course, straighten your path, or just remove a few rocks from the road, and I would love to help you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session together will be a little bit different. Therapy doesn’t necessarily happen in that first hour that we meet so I like to look at this as more of consultation. This is where I get to meet you, you get to meet me I get to answer your questions About what therapy is like let you know any limitations I have and get some vital information from you that will help us on our journey .

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the past 20 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life from the homeless to the famous, and through that time I’ve realized one thing everyone has a past everyone has a present, and everyone has a future. For 99% of those people they wanted to change something about the three, maybe all of it. Heartbreak hurt helplessness. Those are all things that do not discriminate based on where we are in life and here you will find a non-judgmental safe place to change your course or just learn to see it clearly through the fog.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT for the past 10 to 15 years and incorporated in most all sessions to address, automatic thought processes and cognitive distortions changing the way we see ourselves and our experiences.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a wonderful treatment method that I’ve been using for about the past 10 years to create boundaries and consistency in one’s life and recognize how I reactions and responses to our emotions create chaos in that consistency

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma informed care is critical, when dealing with the reactions and responses of individuals who have experienced even one trauma or many in their life. I’ve been using trauma informed care in my sessions for the past 15 years, sometimes even with people who have not experienced trauma only because, it is a more gentle form of therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I’ve used mindfulness and therapy for about 15 years. Staying present, and being aware is critical to healing your mind, body and soul.
