Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. I have been working in the mental/behavioral health field for more than 10 years in different settings including community-based behavioral and medical health centers, high schools, and private practices. I have been working with people from age 5 and above, but mainly age 13 and up, who are struggling with behavioral or emotional difficulties in their life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will talk about the difficulties you're facing, the things you would like to change and the goals to achieve. We will also look into any past history of mental health concerns or treatments. You can expect to learn more about my styles and my personalities. After the first session, we will be able to have better feeling if we can be a good fit for each other.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I emphasize on strengths and resiliency, so I believe that each person can have the potential to overcome the hardships in life and eventually regain the peace and balance of life. I also value the trusting and professional relationship with my clients, so I look at my clients as unique individuals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals who are struggling with different mood disturbances such as depression, anxiety, etc., and multiple life stressors including interpersonal relationship issues, life transitions, career-related stress, identity issues, etc.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I help my clients accept the uncontrollable and unchangeable situations in life, so that they can better manage their anxiety and enjoy life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will look into the thoughts that are intervening with how you feel and how you make decisions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

We will work on focusing on the present instead of ruminating the past or getting stuck with worries about the future.

Strength-Based

I focus a lot on my client's resiliency and the potential to change their life.
