Are you a parent of a high-achieving adolescent or college student who seems to be withdrawing from school and from their friends? COVID created treacherous hurdles that high school and college students had to navigate including lack of socializing with peers and not having adequate support from teachers and inadequate learning opportunities for them to develop into confident students. Competition is now relentless due to 24 hour access to social media and kids just don't have enough down time to unplug. Are you a veteran of any of the conflicts in Afghanistan or Iraq? Are you having trouble integrating into civilian life or are traumatic memories of combat preventing you from having healthy relationships? I get it. I served in the U.S. Army from March of 2009 to September 2014 and deployed to Mosul, Iraq as part of Operation New Dawn. I am passionate about helping my brothers and sisters in arms move their lives forward and to find their new normal. I also enjoy helping professional women with life transitions whether that mean a new job, becoming a parent, infertility issues, or pursuing a new career. Please give me a call. Therapy is a collaborative process and I look forward to helping you on your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients will gain piece-of-mind knowing that they are speaking to a compassionate and seasoned therapist. We will discuss the modalities that I use and what their expectations of therapy are.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have an entire arsenal of evidence based strategies to use with clients. I am certified in EMDR and CPT and have used CBT for many years. I also have a strong foundation in psychodynamic therapy and concentrate a good deal of my work on building healthy relationships.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are my listening skills, my ability to reframe issues, and to provide hope for my clients. I am a systemic thinker. This means that I always try to figure out how an individual clients fits into their social network and how he/she/they can improve their relationships.
