It's okay to not be okay, and I am so proud of you for putting in the research to find a therapist who is a good fit for you. A little bit about myself, I was raised in Lexington, KY and after living in Western Kentucky for 11 years, I have returned home to my roots. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Masters in Social Work and have worked as a psychotherapist in community mental health, private practice, and assisted care facilities. I would describe myself as quirky, direct, and compassionate. I am a mom of two boys who are my absolute world and the reason for transitioning to online therapy. I absolutely love my job and love working with people to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. You deserve to be heard, believed and encouraged. Giving therapy a shot can feel intimidating but also life-changing and if you're still reading this I hope that you will consider booking an appointment with yours truly :)

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

To feel validated and empowered. To be heard and respected. To feel hopeful for healing and growth. To know that your story is deserving to be heard and that you matter. To learn how to regulate your emotions and deal with life challenges. To know your intrinsic worth and value which is not connected to your abilities or productivity. You are worthy of kindness, goodness, and love most especially from yourself.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I will meet you where you are at and use a variety of different techniques based on your needs, symptoms, personality, preferences, etc. Some techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centered, insight-oriented, strengths-based, solution-focused, expressive therapies, EMDR, motivational interviewing, relaxation techniques, and trauma-informed care techniques.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength includes how I build connection and trust with my clients to create a safe place to process thoughts, feelings, and life experiences.
