Hello and thank you for your stopping by my profile. My name is Chase, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. If you decide to see me for therapy, I will be talking to you more about who you are and what is important to you. So, it only seems fair to tell you a bit about me. I am married and have 2 dogs and four cats. I have played guitar since I was 12 and music is my passion and a big coping skill of mine. As far as musical taste, I really enjoy country, but also like metal and rock. I became a therapist because I experience many of the things my patients do including anxiety, depression, and grief. I have learned cope with these in my own life and now it is my mission to help others do the same.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I like to take first sessions to not only work on identifying your goals and what obstacles you feel are in the way of them, but also to build a good client-therapist relationship. Talking to someone that you just met about your most personal feelings and issues is a vulnerable and challenging experience. So I feel it is very important to build trust and connection in the first few sessions to make this easier and more comfortable for you.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I feel one of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to be calming and comforting. Several patients have told me that I have a soothing approach that puts them at ease. I also feel I am good at helping others feel understood and validated, which to me is one the most important aspects of therapy.
