When booking a session with me you can expect to be greeted with openness and comfortability. I am a very personable person and aim to ease you into our therapy journey. I provide a safe, relaxing environment where you will feel comfortable uncovering the issues you are experiencing. My approach is calming and kind, and because of my personality I focus on positive outcomes. I believe you have the capability to relearn negative thinking and behaviors that have contributed to life's struggles. My experience covers adults and adolescents in areas of trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, grief/loss, educational and career planning, infertility, adoption, life transitions, and suicidal ideation/attempted recovery. I know therapy can be scary and intimidating, however with me you will feel like I really do care and understand what you are trying to say. My goal is that you leave my office feeling positive and empowered to take the next step in your healing journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After our first session you will feel relieved that you made the appointment with me. I will provide you with hope that there is a solution and that you found someone who truly cares and will help guide you through the process. Together we will create our goals and next steps for our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Connecting with people has always been a natural part of who I am. I am extremely passionate about helping others and understanding individuals for who they are without judgement. This skill has guided me into the career that I naturally love. I am easy to talk to, easy to get along with and I easily understand that everyone has their own story that makes them who they are.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Helping you to make the connections between your thoughts and feelings. Identifying triggers that contribute to behaviors.

Grief Therapy

Grief is not a destination or an obstacle to get through. It is something you will live with. There are many types of grief, and it can be very complicated. Therapy can help alleviate the pain of loss and confusion. Everyone experiences it in their own way and there just isn't a road map or set of directions to help you through it. My approach is to understand the feelings you have about the person you are grieving and help you through those feelings as they happen while sharing the memories and joy of your loved one.
