If you are feeling stressed, self-critical, down or worried, I would like to help you feel more confident, calm, in control, and engaged in your life. My approach to counseling is to create a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore and overcome obstacles in order to grow, heal and become the best version of yourself. With patience and understanding, I’ll assist you in uncovering new strengths, perspectives and solutions. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and together we will set meaningful goals based on what you want to change or improve about yourself, your life, or your relationships. Reaching out for help shows courage. As your therapist, I will work with you to develop a deeper sense of self-understanding and help you learn strategies and skills to successfully navigate life’s challenges. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will take some time to go over your intake paperwork, review telehealth policies, gather some background information about your life, history and your experiences and explore more about what brings you in for our appointment. Then we will discuss your goals for therapy in order create a plan to start working towards your goals together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My goal as your therapist is to find a balance between being encouraging, kind and supportive, and challenging you to grow and make the changes necessary to achieve your goals. I will create the space for you to process your thoughts and feelings, explore new perspectives and ways of looking at situations differently, find your inner strength, and discover your own solutions to your struggles.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT helps us explore the connection between how we think, feel and act and make choices to align our thoughts and actions with our goals. This means that we will explore how you think and feel, and find ways to challenge and transform unhelpful thoughts and behaviors in order to develop and increase the feelings of being present, self compassionate, and intentional.
