I am a licensed mental health counselor and have been practicing since 2017. I have a master's degree in creative arts therapy, and currently I am a counseling doctoral candidate at Barry university, Miami. I’m based in Bal Harbour & Aventura in Miami- Dade County, Florida and provide services to clients both in person and via telehealth. My background includes working with individuals, groups and families in schools, therapy center for families, and private practice. In my practice, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults suffering from trauma or family crisis, or seeking to find a better outlet for communication. I have treated a broad spectrum of diagnoses and struggles, such as mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, behavioral issues, low self esteem, relationship issues and life transitions. I have encouraged freedom of expression and self-empowerment through creative processes, while using bibliotherapy as a springboard for healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can anticipate a welcoming and non-judgmental space where we delve into understanding your unique experiences and challenges. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, and together, we'll collaboratively set meaningful goals aligned with your aspirations. I'll guide you through the therapeutic process, explaining the methods and techniques we may use to address your concerns. This session is more than an introduction; it marks the beginning of a collaborative journey toward positive change, where your comfort, empowerment, and growth are at the forefront.

My treatment methods

Experiential Therapy

I believe in the transformative power of experiential therapy. My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy, engaging you in hands-on experiences to foster personal growth and self-discovery. In particular, I use bibliotherapy as a springboard for healing. Bibliotherapy involves exposure to literature that resonates with your journey. By exploring characters and narratives, you can gain insights and perspectives that enhance your therapeutic experience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I implement cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a proven and practical approach to addressing a wide range of challenges. My focus is on understanding the roots of your concerns and empowering you with effective tools for lasting change. I believe in the power of identifying and challenging negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and unproductive behaviors. Through collaborative exploration, we work together to uncover the underlying beliefs and perceptions that may be influencing your challenges.

Positive Psychology

My practice is grounded in the belief that fostering strengths and cultivating positivity can lead to lasting well-being. I integrate Positive Psychology principles to help you identify and amplify your strengths, resilience, and sources of joy. By focusing on what is meaningful and positive in your life, we work together to navigate challenges and build a foundation for lasting happiness.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I prioritize your unique journey. I believe in creating an empathetic and non-judgmental environment where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. My sessions are guided by your agenda and pace, ensuring that you lead the way in your therapeutic journey.

Existential

In the existential tradition, we explore the significance of your individual existence and the choices you make. In our sessions, we will emphasize the importance of finding purpose, meaning, and personal fulfillment in the face of life's uncertainties.
