Hi. I'm a Licensed Counselor-Supervisor from Texas. I am licensed to practice and provide supervision in Texas, Louisiana, and Virginia. I've been in practice for 11 years and have been supervising clinicians for seven years. I also have three years of experience as a school counselor. Throughout my experience, I have found that life's journey can sometimes be overwhelming. My specialty is helping those see the light through their journey toward healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, it is my goal to get to know my client and for my client to get to know me. It is my opinion the therapeutic relationship is foundational to helping my client reach his or her goals. Therefore, it is my goal to allow us to build that foundation. As part of getting to know my client, I will use my first session to learn my client's goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength has been shared with me as my ability to listen and be empathetic. I want my clients to feel that their time with me is a safe space. They are free to be themselves in a judgment-free zone. I want to treat my clients how I would want to be treated if I were the one seeking assistance.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with those who feel stuck due to past traumas. My clients find that they have endured multiple traumas that they have dismissed, stuffed away in the depths of their minds, or possibly even dissociated as a coping skill. My goal is to help my clients process their traumas, unload their "emotional backpack" that has weighed them down, and begin to live in the present using coping skills that will benefit them as they move forward in their life journey.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

Many may shy away from this word, but I find that when working with clients, I like hearing their stories and therapy goals. Then, with their input, I choose the best approach for therapy. We may use narrative, CBT, REBT, EMDR, KAP, Art therapy, or a combination of these, just to name a few. But ultimately, we will use the approach that will best help you reach your goals.
