Are you looking for a safe environment to increase self-awareness and personal empowerment? My goal as a clinician is to create space for you to learn about your emotions and thoughts, and to explore your circumstances and strengths to build on. I have worked at Private Practice, residential facility, and out-patient Psychiatric settings. I am dedicated to building a collaborative counseling relationship that foster self-understanding and growth, and to guiding you through more rational ways of thinking and new coping skills such as DBT skills that will promote healthier balance. My counseling approach is primarily compassionate, non-judgmental, and empowering based cognitive-behavioral and person-centered therapy.  I value individual differences and the importance of exploring each unique story. I am also competent to provide counseling services for Mandarin and Cantonese speaking clients. My current caseload is about 60-70 sessions per week. Please email me or text me anytime to schedule. The availability on the website may not be accurate.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Therapy is a secure and non-judgmental place for us to learn about ourselves, learn about family and relationship dynamic. Therapy is also to learn about healthier thinking patterns and healthier coping skills. I will provide you knowledge about emotions, anxiety, depression, irrational thinking patterns, abusive relationship, stress, body image issues, family dynamic and etc. We will be building a person-centered therapeutic relationship and we will be learning about ourselves and learning how to continue to cope with life.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My main treatment methods are person-centered approach, CBT, DBT, and psycho-education. I obtain a Certificate for Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked at Private Practice facilities, residential treatment, and out-patient Psychiatric settings. I see over 60 clients a week and I have worked with individuals and families from a diverse backgrounds. My compassionate and caring nature has helped me build rapport with clients at different age and clients with different cultural backgrounds. Me myself struggled with mental health issues for over 3 years in college. It took away my precious college time and my precious memories with loved ones. I have been there, and now I want to make a difference.
