My name is Corina Forte and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience helping individuals and families heal from trauma, cope with mood disorders, and find meaning during serious illness. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I focused on grief, loss, and trauma counseling. I also completed post-graduate training at the Jung Institute, deepening my background in Jungian analysis and dream interpretation. In my work, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment for my clients to feel safe exploring their inner experiences. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy,Gestalt therapy, existential therapy, and expressive arts. For clients dealing with trauma or PTSD, I utilize EMDR and somatic therapy to help process and release memories stored in the body. For those facing terminal illness or the loss of a loved one, I incorporate techniques from palliative care counseling to foster dignity and peace.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
On our first session, I always want to focus on what brings you to therapy. You will feel free to express yourself without having to worry about judgment, hurting others, or being afraid. We will discuss your goals, and I will explain how we can work together. If you accept, we will continue to see each other until our process is complete.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have a deep understanding of the human mind and emotions, and my tool box is wide. I have expertise in various approaches and techniques that allow me to fully taylor treatment to every unique individual.
