Hi! My name is Krystal Bertke a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I attended the University of Dayton. I have experience with youth, adults, and families for 6 years. Most of my career I’ve worked with at risk youth with trauma histories and their families. I am very person centered as I believe therapy is not a one size fits all. Therapy needs to be focused about the individual and what they are experiencing. I work with my clients as a team and you are truly the expert in you and I have the education and skills that together we can create a happier future for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will discuss history and establish therapeutic goals. We will build rapport with one another and discuss future scheduling.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have the ability to build strong connections/therapeutic relationships and help my clients achieve their goals. I am able to be supportive but also hold clients accountable to help ensure goals are being met and progress is occurring.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with families, youth and adults struggling with anger, trauma, relationships, anxiety, and depression.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe therapy is an individualized process and should focus around the client and their experiences and needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist my job is to essentially work myself out of a job by helping my clients learn skills to use in their life moving forward.
