Engaging in conversations with individuals is of utmost importance to truly understand their communication styles, preferred topics, and approaches to therapy. Every person has a distinct life journey that is meaningful in its way. In order to gain an in-depth understanding of their communication preferences, interests, and therapy methods, it is essential to initiate meaningful conversations with individuals. I firmly believe that every person has a unique story to share, and their stories hold immense value. My ultimate objective is positively impacting people's lives by bringing about transformative changes, one person at a time.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session with the therapist is usually an initial meeting where you get to know each other. During this first visit, you'll have the chance to share information about your background, current concerns, and objectives for therapy. The therapist may also ask you questions to understand your situation better and identify any potential obstacles to progress. As you progress with treatment, subsequent sessions will focus more on addressing specific issues and working toward your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, my primary objective is to establish trust and comfort with my clients. I strive to create a safe and supportive atmosphere for them to share their thoughts and emotions. Additionally, I adapt my approach to suit their individual needs. I aim to provide effective guidance throughout their journey, and I excel in building connections, being flexible, and constantly learning.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in assisting clients who are dealing with various mental health challenges, including trauma, depression, and anxiety. My work has taken me across multiple settings, including schools, hospitals, private practices, athletic facilities, and mental health systems. When working with clients, I provide therapy services to both adolescents and adults, perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop customized care plans that are tailored to their specific needs, work with clients in the community, and ensure that there is seamless coordination of care and follow-up to guarantee that they receive the best possible outcomes.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Learning to recognize one's distorted thinking that is causing problems and then reevaluating it based on reality is an important skill to develop. It involves better understanding one's behavior and motivation and using problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations. Ultimately, this leads to greater confidence in one's abilities.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a cognitive-behavioral approach that helps people accept difficult thoughts and feelings and commit to values-based actions.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care helps individuals recognize their trauma history, even when they don’t identify their experience as traumatic.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy is a counseling approach that treats mood and anxiety disorders, childhood trauma, and relationship issues. The therapy aims to address past attachment wounds, which therapists believe are the root cause of psychological problems and relationship difficulties.

Multicultural

Multicultural counseling characterizes the counseling psychology practice that offers effective interventions to culturally diverse clients. Race, ethnicity, and cultural background may influence a client's identity and life circumstances.
