I feel that clients can have the best opportunity for long-term healing when they are allowed to make choices for their future. I am experienced in working with adolescents and adults with issues surrounding stress, life transitions, trauma, depression and anxiety. Life can feel overwhelming and stressful at times, but with the right outlook, it can also be wonderful, beautiful and filled with light. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Our first session is more about getting to know each other helping you have a better understanding of how therapy will work and letting me know what specifically you're wanting to talk about.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I primarily work from an eclectic approach meaning that I draw from several modalities, depending on my client. That can be up to and including CBT, narrative therapy, reality/choice therapy, existential therapies, as well as Christian Counseling if and only if that is what my clients ask for.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I have the most experience with Trauma and the effects of that such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I do believe that trauma can rewire our thinking and through talk therapy and other treatment methods if needed we can rewire our thoughts feelings and behaviors.
