I am an LMHC and a Master CASAC (credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor) in New York State. I have 15+ years of experience working in education, social services, government, and nonprofit management. I have practiced in schools, chemical dependency programs, and outpatient mental health clinics, providing services to people from all walks of life. My experience across disciplines in the realm of human services has left me well-versed in my ability to tackle many of the challenges facing my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will have a conversation that will enable me to get to know you better. I will gather information about your history and current concerns so that we can move forward with a plan to address your goals and needs together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, implementing a variety of methods and modalities according to the needs of each individual I work with. My practice is person-centered and strengths-based. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy as well as mindfulness practices and the components of positive psychology. I believe that every person has the ability to heal; it is my job to listen, understand, and help guide my clients toward achieving their goals. I believe that laughter can mend the deepest wounds and I bring a natural levity to even the direst of situations and circumstances. My ultimate purpose is to leave the people I work with feeling better.
